Hi Gurus,

 

After I upgraded my BO 3.1 SP4, I keep on seeing Warnings in my Event Viewer - Application almost every 1 hour.

 

There are 2 Warnings that keeps on appearing and I have been checking through the log files and can't find anything useful that I could fix.

Any good starting point for me to start fixing the warnings ? I suspect it could be user security but not sure where I should be fixing.

Hi All,

I have configured Fiori Launch pad and it is working on Desktop browser, Ipad Browser and Mobile Browser.

It is not working on SAP Fiori Client App.

I tried few options:

1. Install SSL certificate in Mobile and Desktop.
   1. Then it is not showing any certificate error browsers and it is working fine in browsers only.
   2. Not working in app.
2. Change Port number  from HTTPS port to HTTP Port.
   1. This option is not working in browser and app.

my question is there any work around solution for Practice and demo, to run fiori application on client.

Dear  Experts,

 

We have upgraded our BPC component from level 001 to level 004, when I try to take Appset back in UJBR . I am getting the error of  no more storage

available for extending an I. when I uncheck the Audit data I am not getting any error. I am able to take the backup.

Yes. i know it is a rights issue.  I have run the sapdba_role.sql and all the other sql commands after upgrading the kernel.  But still, about 2/3 of the way in to a "brconnect -u / -c -f cleanup" command I get:

Hi

 

I´m new to ASE - testing with the purpose of migrating from SQL server... I have recently installed 4 Netweaver systemes (3 java and 1 abap) on a single Windows 2012 server.

 

Systems are running fine - but every night for some reason the services SAP SQLServer_<SID> are stopped. All i have to do is to start the services and then systems are running fine.

 

But where can i search to find information of the shot down reason of the services? The SAP Control Center is not the best  - actually (compared to SQL server) it´s quite hopeless :-).

 

Any ideas?

Dear Experts,

 

I have installed the complete data flow before for the PM DSO 0PM_DS04 which has four datasources, namely 2LIS_17_I3HDR, 2LIS_17_I3OPER, 0PM_OM_OPA_1,0PM_OM_OPA_2. All the data is consolidated directly into the DSO 0PM_DS04. PM Order Number is the key in all the Update Rules.

 

1. I got a suggestion that I should first load the data from different datasources into individual DSOs(How about Write-optimized???) and then consolidate the data into 0PM_DS04 from these DSOs. How big a difference does such a change in the data flow make? The routines in the update rules need to adjusted and can anyone comment how tedious it could be?

 

Does anyone have experience implementing this BI Content DSO?

Hello All,

 

I am working at a customer where they want to add a new Font into Crystal Reporting Enterprise.

 

I believe it can be done in (Advanced?)  Crystal Reporting 11.

 

Is it possible to add to the available MS Word fonts in CRE?

 

The business background is that the customer exports a Crystal Report to PDF and converts to Word which is nearly perfect for delivering to the publisher but, for example a couple of superscript fonts are not available and need manual intervention on almost all pages of a 700 + page document. This manual intervention introduces the possibility of human error and delays.

Dear, all, During implementation of SAP EWM, we face with process which required interaction integration of statuses with ERP Sales order and Outbound delivery, but in standard EWM scenario this integration possible only via  goods issue and EWM outbound delivery or with IDOC in outbound transports, but we don’t use outbound transport and statuses we need before goods issue, any experiences in such processes?

 

Scenario:

1. Manager create Sales Order and delivery in ECC

2. Warehouse pick and pack goods, in real time we need transfer statuses to ECC from EWM by each position.

3. Based on statuses manager correct Sales order and issue Invoice for customer, or replace missing position by creating new delivery in ECC for the same Sales order;

Can someone please provide direction regarding the migration / upgrade path for our BPC content.  I’ve included information, below, regarding
our current environments.  We are planning to upgrade the existing BW on HANA environment (already has BPC 10.0 components) to BW 7.4 and BPC 10.1. 

 

The question is this – it seems there are two paths to consider, and I am not sure if one way is better than another.  I will refrain from commentary to keep from biasing your response. 

 

Do we migrate our existing content from the BPC Prod on BW instance to the existing BW on HANA instance and then perform the upgrade or is it better to perform the upgrade on the BW on HANA instance and then migrate the BPC Prod content over to the upgraded BW on HANA instance? 

 

What would be your reason for one approach over the other?

 

Is there a different approach we should consider?

 

 

All of this is an effort to get us to BPC 10.1 on BW 7.4 on HANA for the purposes of doing Embedded modeling as well as Standard modeling.

 

 

 

BCP 100 – current SAP BPC PROD on stand-alone BW instance on SQL:

 

Currently, all of our BPC content is Standard, which is likely obvious given the version of BPC.  There are some connections to the separate BW
landscape for master data, etc.  Most of the content is related to consolidations, although there is some non-consolidations content as well (minimal), in case that matters.

All,

 

I was looking for an alternative solution to BPF's.  We have a large volume of users and the LOB is using this strictly to access the forms however what the have come to find is that when its marked complete others cannot go in until its re-opened.

 

An an alternative we looked to try to use the Library however if the template is updated then its a manual process to update.

 

In the early 7.0 days on the Microsoft you could create a BPF but in a webpage format and did not have that issue.

 

Has anyone tried or know a way on the BW platform to create a hyperlink or use an API to access those templates and reports?

Hello Experts ,

 

I have a doubt in Bex WAD.

 

I have 2 web templates WT1 and WT2 , WT2 is executed from WT1 as GOTO or RRI invocation.

At runtime I am changing certain parameters/variables, e.g date field for WT1 , and want the same value to be passed to WT2 along with the default values of other variables when its invoked from WT2 . I can check the default values of certain variables in the 'variable screen' of the respective web templates.

 

Please suggest how this is achieved.

Hi,

 

We are planning to build a Sybase IQ NLS landscape to support BW on HANA landscapes.

 

We have thought of installing DEV/QA NLS (IQ) on one server and accordingly have created the file systems on the Linux host. My question is whether we have to install sybase IQ 16 SP8 PL27 twice on the server to have two seperate $SYBASE install directories, from which we can source the environmenmt profiles while launching each of these databases.

 

The FS layout is as follows --- All FS's will be owned by sybase (2 sets of FS will be created with SIDs for DEV and QAS)

 

/usr/sap/SID/sybase ------------- sybase install dir

/usr/sap/SID/database -------- catalog DB

/usr/sap/SID/main -------------- IQ_SYSTEM_TEMP

/usr/sap/SID/log -- ---- Transaction logs and other system logs  ----- Can the transaction log be stored here for Point in Time Recovery?

/usr/sap/SID/messages --------- messages

/usr/sap/SID/html ---------- html query plans

/usr/sap/SID/sapdata1 to /usr/sap/SID/sapdata4 --- for iq db spaces (user db spaces)

/usr/sap/SID/temp/temp1 to /usr/sap/SID/temp/temp4 --- for iqtmp spaces  (both the sapdatax and tempx have same sizes)

 

Question ---- can the base directory /usr/sap/SID/temp become the IQTMP16 and will it access the other file systems (temp1, temp2 and so on) undreneath it or do we have to just create one file system - /usr/sap/SID/temp?

 

/usr/sap/SID/tmp ----- path for -dt option in the config file to store server dependant files. - I am not sure what this -dt stands for and how different is it from iqtmp FS (usr/sap/SID/temp....)

 

Question - In the First Guidance guide, this filesystem is mentioned as (IQ for Sort)... Does /usr/sap/SID/temp (iqtmp) and /usr/sap/SID/tmp (.tmp) have same sizes?

 

Question - Does the /usr/sap/SID/sapdata, /usr/sap/SID/temp and /usr/sap/SID/tmp have same sizes?

 

We will install DEV under /usr/sap/DEV/sybase and configure it to use the above file systems. Similarly, we will have filesystems for QAS but the install will begin from /usr/sap/QAS/sybase.....

 

Is it a viable way of installting multiple NLS databases on one server?

Hi,

 

Is there a tool available which allows me to select a table in Sybase, and have it copied to another Sybase database?

That means create the table when it does not exist, and insert all records from source to target.

 

I'm new to Sybase and have the SQL Server Import Wizard in mind, which lets me do just that.

BODS is used in the project which we can use to get data across but we have hundreds of little lookup tables with validated data which we need in the next DTAP environment. Building all these transfers individually will probably take ages.
