The latest update from Microsoft has broken something in crystal reports.  Update KB3078601.  This is on Crystal Reports XI Release 2.

The report/form previews but throws up the error 'A generic error occurred in GDI+.' in a Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer.

The form has bar codes.  It will not print.

It's a patch that came out 8/15/15 marked as critical.  Will there be a patch from SAP to fix this? currently the work around is to uninstall the Windows update.

Thank you for any help!

What are you passionate about at SAP?
I am most passionate bout the people. As a part of the Global Facility Management team, SAP employees are our clients. My team manages the efforts to design, build, and keep the Americas office environments in operation to support the daily work efforts of the employees. I am passionate about providing the customer with what they need to be efficient on a daily basis. I often say how much I enjoy building space for my own people!

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
I would say my passion and my favorite thing go hand in hand. On a regular basis I have the opportunity to work with a team I trust. I value the open communication and eagerness to work together to ensure the projects are a success. I also value the life-work balance and flexibility that encourages the company to enjoy life in all aspects. Work hard, play hard.

What’s something not many people would know about you?
Not too many people would know that I grew up in the same small New Jersey town as my grandfather and my parents. I love being the middle of five children and the aunt to a niece and two nephews. I have lived on the east coast all my life and have been based out of the SAP NSQ office for the last five years. I am currently on a fellowship with GFM and will be in the Bay Area until mid-December 2015! My degree in Interior Design helps me do what I do here at SAP!

What are your hidden talents?
Hmmm…hidden talents? Let’s go with expert at pretending to maintain normal breathing while talking and walking up and down these San Francisco hills...yeah, that’s talent.

What are you passionate about at SAP?
My job involves providing software logistics services to development teams within SAP. As a part of my day-to-day job, I get to work with some very bright and talented colleagues. It also gives me an opportunity to learn about all the development activities that are taking place within SAP.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
SAP is truly a global company and has provided me with an opportunity to work with colleagues of several nationalities and backgrounds. Besides, SAP also provides great work-life balance!

What’s something not many people would know about you?
I am a big history buff. I have been very passionate about history, geography, and politics ever since I was a kid and I like to spend my spare time reading about ancient empires and cultures. When the movie 300 was released, I gave a speech at SAP Toastmasters about the Zoroastrian empires of ancient Persia!

What are your hidden talents?
Thanks to SAP Toastmasters, two of my skills that I molded were public speaking and organizing events. I had the fortune to represent SAP Toastmasters in quite a few speech contests and have also served as a chair for club and division level contests.

What are you passionate about at SAP?
The ability to use a design-thinking approach in my assignments, and the trust my boss and others put in me to drive ground-breaking results while pushing existing boundaries.

What’s your favorite thing about working at SAP?
There are so many innovative ideas and opportunities at SAP just waiting to be turned into great solutions or services, so work never gets boring.

What’s something not many people would know about you?
My first “business experience” was working for a rock’n roll concert promoter in Germany during high school and college. I got to do everything from driving the “stars” to tour management to tour accounting. It not only helped me learn how to run an extreme business, but also a lot around dealing with a very diverse set of people.

What’s one bucket list item?
I would love to work on a social impact project in an emerging market since it would allow me to put my values, talents, and skills to work in an impactful way.

Hello,

In transfer posting, 303 is created with Prod # A and Prod # B.  What should be the 305 material document when receipt is Prod # B and Prod # C [not Prod #A].

How 303 is netted with 305.  Any thoughts.

Mass updating the CATSDB without using data entry profile via BAPI

$

Hi Gurus,

We are working on a requirement where we need to update the CATSDB entries for multiple personnel numbers and multiple work dates together. We actually update the price field there. We currently use the BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_CHANGE inside a loop to update the entries but we faced below issue.

1. This BAPI needs a data entry profile to update CATSDB. We tried using without one, and got some error regarding the cost objects. Also BAPI defaults the values for data entry profile internally even if we do not pass one to it. Now as we are updating the already existing entries, we really do not know using which profile the data was saved earlier, and we use any one of them as default to change. Our initial understanding was that the data inside CATSDB is independent of the the data entry profile, hence it should be ok to use any one profile and update. But then we noticed during testing that some of the already existing fields got cleared since they were not part of the current data entry profile being used.

Now our requirement is to develop a program which updates the CATSDB independently of the data entry profile. I do not think it is possible, then it is being requested by the functional team that whatever data is there in CATSDB should be updated with the price field irrespective of the data entry profile.

Could you please provide your thoughts on the same and possible solutions.

Thanks in advance!!

Warm Regards,

Raveesh

Condition KP02 problem

Dear Experts,

i got a problem with the condition tyep KP02.

In VK11 , I defined for customer 1360 the discount of 20 Euro, if one pallet is filled.

see attached pic

KP02.jpg

However, as I tried to create an standard order, I got a percentage of 20 Euro , even if the total amount is less than one pallet.

e.g. 10 Pcs , then I got 4 euro as discount.

My expectation was, if less than 50 Pcs, then it should not provide any discount.

Could any one help to explain how that happens ?

I am writing code in the TransactionNotification Stored Procedure. I want to prevent a user from changing the item group if there is stock onhand. How do I compare the old values to the new values to see if item group was the thing that got changed?

IF @transaction_type = 'U' AND @object_type = '4'  -- update items object

BEGIN

   IF EXISTS(

       SELECT   T0.[ItemCode]

       FROM OITM T0

       WHERE T0.[ItemCode] = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del

        AND T0.[OnHand] > 0 )

  BEGIN

    SELECT @error = 12, @error_message = 'Cannot change Item Group Code '

  END

END

The code above will prevent a change to ANY field on item master if there is stock onhand.  How do I find out if Item Group was changed?

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Depreciation Area and Local Currency

$

Hello Experts,

I cannot find any threads treating the following points.

Business wants to get GL balances in CAD (1st local currency) and USD (group currency). However, from AA perspective business does not require to get asset valuation in USD. In this case, can we get rid of the parralel depreciation area in USD ? (copy APC and depreciation terms from 01)

Until now I though it was mandatory to get the same level of valuation between FI and AA but as this parallel valuation will not post to any ledger, I think I was wrong.

Can you confirm my statement ?

Thank you all for your support.

sap.m.Input on Fiori Tile

Hy everybody,

i'm currently implementing a custom tile type - it already works pretty fine.

Now i've tried to add a sap.m.Input Element on the tile. But it doesn't get displayed on the tile.

If i check with chrome dev tools - inspect elements, then i see in that the html elements are present in dom tree - but only if i remove the sapM* classes the input field is displayed.

Is there a limitation which controls can be placed on a tile?

I'm doing a custom tile implementation for learning purposes - so there is no pressure on this task.

Thanks for your replies.

Have a nice day.
